Men's Cross Country Season Recap

The 2008 men’s cross country season ended with a runner up finish at the NCCAA Division II Nationals meet on November 15th. It also led to a second individual national championship for Scott Pagel. The first word that comes to mind about this team is “persistence”. Our team was only seven deep and they had to run through many injuries and illnesses throughout the year. We were young this year with only two athletes who have ever ran at the college level. The team got better throughout the year. We went from finishing last at our first meet to finishing runner up at the NCCAA Division II Nationals. "We learned a lot about each other as athletes and as people this season," said head coach Jason McDaniel.  "Hopefully, we can take what we have learned and bring home a national championship next season."
